Blog Optimization- Content and its Supremacy.
Thursday, November 30, 2006
Anybody who is searching for information about a product or a service is indirectly searching for content. Search engines also look for the same, while indexing a website or a blog. The advantage that blogs share is that they are primarily made up of content, unlike the other websites that constitute a lot of graphics, which are inconsiderable for search engines.
Business blogs which are focused on a particular niche are better of in this context. When you write some post regarding a subject it consists of all the relevant content which search engines are in love with. In turn it makes it easier for your blog to rank higher in search engine placement for your keywords, even higher than some good rank websites.
Quality, the supreme master- Apart from what will make you a darling of search engines your blog is actually meant for the visitors that come to your blog. What you write and how you write is why your visitors become your readers and then fan followers. So when you are focusing on Blog optimization, you need to keep in mind that your post should be “attractive” enough, to bring readers to you in the first place and then keep them there. Don’t try to stuff the keywords. Read you post twice before publishing. If possible let a friend or a colleague of yours read it first. This way you can make sure that you are not over optimizing. Their remarks can help you know how useful your information s to others.
Key Ingredients you are supposed remember always:-
Keyword density and placement-
This is the number of times a keyword phrase appears on the page divided by the overall number of words it contains. If you are serious about optimizing, It is stated that a post should have between 500 and 800 words of quality or more, unique content. It should be divided into 3 to 5 paragraphs. Short post can also be optimized well keeping in mind that the keyword density must be somewhere between 2% to 8%, but its always better to have 4%-5%. However, do not churn out text which is keyword rich but doesn’t engage your readers - if you do, then it doesn’t matter if you are highly placed by a Search Engine because people will arrive and then immediately get turned away by the content.
As for the keywords, they should appear at least once in first phrase of the first paragraph with other two elsewhere in the same; thrice in last paragraph(once in the last phrase); and twice in every middle paragraph. Remember don’t overdo it. A lot of vitamins even are bad of health.
Bolding, Italicizing, Underlining, Strengthening-
The place where our keywords need more importance they should be bolded, italicized, underlined or strengthened. But there is a point that should be ALWAYS kept in mind, do not use each of these effects more than one time in the text otherwise your site can be considered a spam. So, apparently you have four places to do so. If you cannot find that many places where your keywords should be emphasized two effects can be used together, such as bold or strong with italic and underlined with any of the rest three.
Post regularly-
New content has a place in every search engine. The more you update the more likely is it for the search engines to keep on indexing your blog and your posts. So make sure that you maintain a flow of new and relevant postings.
Make sure that the idea is of quality content for your readers so don’t post just for the sake of it as this will reduce the overall quality of your blog. Write when you have something essential and relevant to.
All this may bring a sense of déjà vu, if you would be a regular reader of Blogging to Fame. But, this is to let you get a hang of it, as this is the most important aspect of Blog optimization.
So Happy Blogging,
To your Success,
Divya Uttam.

So You Are A Wanna be A-List Blogger, Ugh!
Tuesday, November 28, 2006
Who does not want to be amongst the most popular and seeked out bloggers like the A-list bloggers are Wil Wheaton of WilWheaton.net and Glenn Reynolds of Instapundit. Being a part of bloggerati, is music to a blogger’s ears. Some people believe that if you are not in Technorati’s Top 100 blogs then your blog is rubbish. So how important it is for you to be amongst these A-list bloggers? For being in Technorati’s Top 100 you need to have atleast 3000 blogs linking to you. As per today the top blog there is, engadget.com, having 25,994 blogs linking it. So as for Technorati its all the link game and you’ll have to play efficiently to be at the top.
Focusing too much on what is going to bring your blog on top, or being amongst the bloggerati, you will hamper the quality somewhere down the line. In fact, an effective business blog should never do it, because it would widen your prospective, and you would loose the purpose of your blog. Your blog should focus on the niche or market sector and designed to attract a specific audience interested in that area.
You don’t need to be a A-list blogger to be successful. Instead of being known as a celebrity blogger, its better to be known as an expert in your niche. For this you need to know your subject inside out. It will help you express and communicate better with your audience. Its all about how much you create a rapport with them. You can give such tips and tricks to your audience that only a few know.
You also need to keep up to date with what is happening in your industry. Subscribe a few good and relevant blogs’ feeds. Keep an eye on whatever is hot and happening and being talked about in the blogosphere. You will need to inform your audience about it. Give your views on it and ask for feedback.
One thing you need to be sure about, and I have talked about it before is to be passionate about what you write. If you are not, don’t ever expect your audience would be. Cover the subjects of your market and your parallel market, intelligently, anything that would be of help to your readers.
This all would help you build your credibility. Now, demonstrate your expertise through the information and knowledge that you share in your blog. Till you call yourself an expert, others wont(you don’t have to keep blabbering it out there). Use your articles to prove that.
Be a source of Information and News to your readers. Provide useful links and refer to others as well as your own work, so that they keep coming back to you whenever they need a piece of advice. Building relationships as we call it.
Writing and Posting is vital, otherwise why would anyone visit? But equally vital is contributing to other people's stuff. Visit others’ blogs and comment on them; put in a piece of advice. You can also write a post linking back to them. Use trackback where possible.
Being known as an expert in your field may pull in only a few thousand visitors, but each one of those will be your targeted audience. Not only that, you may attract other bloggers to link to you as well, and one day after all you turn out to be an A-list blogger. Be true to your business and in no time at all you will be successful.
Cheers to your Success,
Divya Uttam,
Happy Blogging.

Keyword Research and Adsense Income.
Sunday, November 26, 2006
If you have a little knowledge about the kind of shots taken in a film I’ll call this a cut-away post. Here I wont directly be talking about what to do with your blog or how to optimize blogging but something that almost every blogger who is using adsense should know.
While working for the same keywords and under same niche I serve Google Adsense as well place our Google Adwords, I made a few major discoveries. Both of these services are very important to internet marketers as well as bloggers and they serve as the two basic streams of online income to most. We basically give a dollar for our ads placed and in return giving a click to Google for same ad we earn 40- 50 cents. That can be counted as 2:1 ratio. For every adwords visitor we need the two clicks on the adsense to cover the expenditure.
So I had two different prospective of working under same niche and want to earn and be profitable from both.
From my prospective of advertisements I want keywords that people are looking for aggressively, convert well and turn out to produce good ROI. Before you place your money on those adwords a bit of keyword research is necessary. You should keep in mind the following:-
- Pay far less prices for your adwords clicks.
- Bid on good converting keywords and leave negative keywords.
- The conversion of your landing pages should be administered and it would be much better if you can design keyword specific landing pages. This can be done by grouping specific types of keywords and developing more relevant landing pages. This way your quality score would be much better thus improving your bid prices.
- Here is one more $100 tip for you. This would even help you in building your list quite easily. Most of the times gurus tell to go in for long tail keywords. Don’t do this if you want to place your ads on search engines. Optimize your site for these kind of keywords rather than wasting your resources on them. You can get this traffic organically from search engines by developing keyword relevance. But how can you benefit for your Adwords campaign. Here is the trick. Go for long-tail keyword and intentionally opt for content ads, and now your ads would be placed on more relevant websites and you can snatch their traffic quite easily. This would also reduce your pay per click amount. With your savings you can go in for other convertible keywords.
For Adsense prospective we had to concentrate on these main issues:
- Continuous stream of targeted traffic.
- Without loosing your own traffic which could either convert as your customer for your products or a future prospect, we need to produce clicks on adsense.
- Developing more keyword relevant blog/website to get more and more targeted web traffic by organic search engine optimization, which would prove beneficial for long term. This would again be done using keyword relevance.
- Making good landing pages. Having search engine friendly websites helps a lot in making high quality score landing pages.
- How to combine Adwords account with your Adsense to literally place your ads just not free but for net profit. Have a thought about Google Arbitrage.
A typical keyword analysis would provide you with enough knowledge not just to get similar traffic for less amount, which may be literally free for your website and later you can get all this traffic which could be acquired for quite high paying adwords ads, organically. It is extremely important to understand your competition, the profitability and the amount of money and time you invest. Using industry-developed tools for specific jobs can make it easier for people to be more professional. It can all be done in a lot more aggressive and result oriented way.
- Keyword research for ADWORDS & ADSENSE for better cost management and taking the game away from competition.
- Keyword research for ADSENSE & ORGANIC OPTIMIZATION for your website/blog and building for tons of free traffic.

Give the power of RSS to your Blog
Friday, November 24, 2006
As we already talked about what is RSS in the last post, and we already know that RSS can be of help in increasing our popularity, most people think just blasting out RSS feeds from their blogs notifying readers for any(and all) new posts will do the trick. This post will guide you to unleash the power of RSS and exploit the technology to extremes. What RSS helps us with most obviously are the following-
- Greater Visibility- both Search Engine and Otherwise
- Incoming Links- Everybody wants those
- A great way to maintain fan following- AHA!
- And last but not the least it will provide you with industry/niche latest updates and information before a blink of your eyes so that you can keep your blog up to date.
RSS gives you more visibility, we all know that. It also gives you what every site owner loves to have, i.e., Incoming links. If you write articles which are very appealing to your visitors, a lot of them will subscribe your RSS feed and display it on their own site, what do you get in return - incoming links. Syndication should be such that people can use your articles in their site, linking back to you.
Incoming Links with relevant anchor text can prove to be a boon for your Search Engine Optimization. For this you just need to name the feed right. The title of your RSS feed is equally important as naming of your blog, but the difference here is that your Blog’s title is read by the humans and also machines, whereas, RSS feeds are interpreted by machines or programs. A blog’s title should be attractive and catchy, where as a feed’s title should focus on the keywords it uses.
Submitting your RSS feed to major RSS search engines and directories is one of the best online marketing strategies you can use, as it allows people to find you through the very gateways used by others to search for the content they are looking for. You can search for these directories through search engines themselves like Syndic8.com
To get through Yahoo or MSN search engine, use the backdoor entry, the much faster and easier way. Login your own yahoo or MSN account and Add your feed to MyYahoo! or MyMSN personalized page. That’s it, you are done. Your RSS feed will soon be listed in the Yahoo!’s or MSN’s Directory with the pages your feed links to from your blog.
Build your feed category wise. Depending on the blog software which you use, a number of options might be available(especially for those using blogging engines installed on their own servers). It’s wise to provide with the specific information your audience is looking for. Options can mean more people subscribing and a higher level of interest from those who receive the feeds. The specifics of how(and if) your blog engine can support these enhanced syndication features will vary based on the software you use. The options for you to try could be-
- Category Feeds- People who may want to know about Search Engine Optimization may not want to know about blogging, or people who might want to know about latest films may not like to know about the latest ipods in the market. As almost every blog covers wide variety of topics, in a niche, and a reader may want to know only about a few of them.
- Calendar Feeds- subscribers will want to know about the events a resort conducts date wise. Offering a dedicated calendar feed for the purpose will do the trick.
- Author Feeds- Your blog may have more than one contributor. Offering specific feeds for the author can create a different fan-following for both. Nonetheless, both would be traffic for the same blog.
- Comment Feed- Now-a-days readers want to keep a track of the conversation going on, at their favorite blog, and want to get notified for every new input. The more powerful blog systems are now offering comments feed as an option.
Think beyond directories and how in real world you can exploit RSS for the benefit of your business.
To your success,
Divya Uttam.
Happy Blogging.

True Indications for Blog fame.
Tuesday, November 21, 2006

With the ever increase of blogs and even more increase in the number of BUSINESS BLOGS, are you able to get some kind of attention from blogsphere? Here are true indications that influence the increase of your blog influence-
1. Getting traffic from search engines. It’s important, and as we know the search engines have literally stopped sending traffic to irrelevant web sites. You should always track your visitor’s movements. Google analytics is free and good tool that provides a quite comprehensive information.
2. Getting at least 30% of repeat blog visitors. Its key to your blog's success, if thats not the case, sit back and structure your blog again. These repeated visitors are people those make your BLOG LIVE and going.
3. Track your visitor bounces. If it’s getting on higher side like more than 50% work on this. If it gets more than 80% you might be thrown out of search engine, as they are very particular about visitor satisfaction.
4. Blogs are quite effective in creating buzz and improving online visibility. New innovative ideas to create the right BUZZ and should be integrated with your blog promotion. Your blog should be effectively made to handle and exploit the traffic you get because of this buzz.
5. Blog content is rightfully syndicated. Its a key for generating good inbound links. You don’t have to worry about where it is getting syndicated.
6. Blog design is a very important aspect for coming time. Business blogs should understand the latest trends of Web2.0 world. Navigation, links to relative content, contact information, and other related information that a visitor can look for, should be easily accessible. For your business, it is mandatory that you should be able to get the visitor information as well as direct him into your business funnel.
7. Getting blog just to get an Adsense income is a bad idea for any business blog. In long terms, you are loosing your prospect for few cents. A bit of innovation is required for small business blogs who want to support their blog through Adsense income. Even if you are talking the Adsense language, let your blog talk about information or News, anything that is useful to your visitors.
These are few important points to ponder and good to be accounted for a blog success. Few people do question me why I am not effectively using these points for this particular blog? To see these working, they will have to wait till my Branding Weblog is launched.

RSS- What and What Not?
Sunday, November 19, 2006
The definition of RSS can very easily be found on net, but as we will be talking about it, it is mandatory to describe it here.“RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication and is a simple XML-based system that allows you to subscribe to your favorite websites. Using RSS, webmasters can put their content into a standardized format, which can be viewed and organized through RSS-aware software or automatically conveyed as new content on another website.
Programs known as feed readers or aggregators can check a list of feeds on behalf of a user and display any updated articles that they find. It is common to find web feeds on major websites and many smaller ones. Some websites let people choose between RSS or Atom formatted web feeds; others offer only RSS or only Atom.
RSS-aware programs are available for various operating systems. Client-side readers and aggregators are typically constructed as standalone programs or extensions to existing programs such as web browsers and Email readers. Many browsers have integrated support for RSS feeds. There also are other applications that can convert an RSS feed into several usenet articles, viewable through the major newsreader software such as Mozilla Thunderbird.
Web-based feed readers and news aggregators such as YourLiveWire require no software installation and make the user's "feeds" available on any computer with Web access. Some aggregators combine existing web feeds into new feeds, e.g., taking all football related items from several sports feeds and providing a new football feed. There are also search engines for content published via web feeds like Feedster or Blogdigger.
On Web pages, web feeds (RSS or Atom) are typically linked with the word "Subscribe", an orange rectangle,
or
. Many news aggregators such as My Yahoo! publish subscription buttons for use on Web pages to simplify the process of adding news feeds.”This is not very orignal post but a defination can never be one. In my next post I will be taking up the advantages of using RSS with blogging, which will prove to be very profitable step towards blogging to fame.
Divya Uttam,
Happy Blogging.

Its going to flip, It’s going to Change
Wednesday, November 15, 2006

It’s the idea here which persists everywhere, in every market. Most of the bloggers and online business starters starve to make some impact on blogsphere most of time.
For now Internet can be called as opportunity but in coming years it will get more and more organized. Millions of people worldwide are aiming for some fame and fortune on the Internet. Most of them are not even aware of what make’s money and are running after some type of mirage which they think as opportunity.
Things change here fast. Equations change too often to react, to understand and do the appropriate. For most bloggers Social BookMarking, Tagging, and community building is for those who are from Hyperspace or are here working on the internet from many years from now. So it makes them either feel alone or sometimes in the crowd. This makes them do what the crowd is doing before even understanding. They keep trying every new hyped SEO technique and some other things to make some money out of that particular opportunity.
In plain words, money is not in opportunity but Money is in you. It’s in your successful strategy, which gets you all the money from any opportunity you work on.
Internet is providing an immense scope for every business either online or offline. Most established offline business empires are already flourishing their business online. Right now, Internet is providing a large hope to generation now and all those who ever wanted to have their own business. There is slight difference in online business and offline business. For starting an offline business you should start and establish locally, and then leverage your business globally. While starting online you or your company will have to be known in your niche slowly getting yourself established by setting your USP in your niche. Trying too hard will give frustration or pull you towards using spam techniques or exploiting the goods of Internet. You are not required to do it and hence facing adverse effects because of same. You can definitely get to your goals once you identify it and start doing the things, which are required to do.
Selecting your niche,
Setting Goals,
Clearly identifying your role,
Develop your plan of action,
Identify your USP,
Do the best what is required,
Never overload yourself
Try to outsource,
Get Your Best Ideas into Work.
Here begins the Quest for Fame as well for success at Cyber space, with it’s frequent changing makes it quite difficult for a new business person who gets confused whether to understand these changes or to keep working under same plan he set for himself last month.
Here it’s important to understand the psychology of search engines that I sometimes think they themselves are not clear with. Each search engine wants to be more accurate, more customizable, so that they build more trust in their visitors.
Getting your website search engine optimized wont be good until and unless you are thinking about the visitors search engines sending you. In long term until and unless you are not clear with what type of visitors you want, you would be out of business. At that time it would be very difficult to get your site positioned well at these search engines, and would require good amount of investment then. This is the reason one can see so much innovation as well new search engines in PPC search industry. It’s now more obvious that the future of free search engines would be limited to few and most of other are going to show only paid results. So whoever is thinking in long terms or have some desires from internet should be working from now.
A change in a few Search Engines in past few days:-
Yahoo Mindset edition- In this,Yahoo! Search results sorted according to whether they are more commercial or more informational (i.e., from academic, non-commercial, or research-oriented sources).
Msdewey By MSN- A flash based search engine offers a semi-interactive search hostess named MS Dewey who chides, jokes, has an interest in Halo, and more. MSN has created a linkbait through it. A linkbait is a way to appeal your audience in a new way, to gain incoming links.
Google Co op- build a search engine on your blog or website tailored to the topics and areas you know and love the most.Finding specific information has never been so easy, and there's no programming knowledge or cost involved.
Now the decision is in your hands.
Till then Happy Blogging

Optimizing blog by developing keyword relevance-II
Thursday, November 09, 2006

The first line has always been difficult for me to write, so please excuse me for it. We were talking about how your blog design should be and how should you analyze your keywords. It is not always possible to write directly on a certain keyword. It can hamper your quality and that is not we are supposed to do. In direct terms, do not try to include keywords unnecessarily. So, what is the keyword relevance buzz all about? Its not about stuffing keywords for sure.
If you are being a nice boy/girl and doing your homework regularly which I gave you in “7 Truths for increasing your blog's social likebility! “, you would have gone through a lot of blogs by now. Whoa! Am I talking like a teacher here. Anyways, if you are doing it, and read a few posts sincerely, you would have noticed the posts that have a personal touch and quality of writing blended together in appropriate proportions are more fun to read. If I guess it right, by now you would have been a regular visitor to such blogs.
What is the best part of blogging? For me, it is when people come, read and comment on my posts. And, how will they come to me? Some through communities, some through directories and other resources, but a major chunk of traffic comes from search engines. With so many sites competing for the same keyword, keeping your blog keyword targeted helps you win the search engine game. The secret here is to make a cocktail of both the points I mentioned above. Keyword relevancy and your own personal charisma.
In earlier post we were talking about keyword analysis, where you need to search for keywords that are easy to achieve the 1st position for, in search engine result pages(SERPs). You got to do one more thing here. Search in and around keywords and for long tail keywords(long phrases, like “how to optimize blogging”). When searching for different keywords, make a list of all the keywords relevant to your primary keyword. Make sure that you include some of these while writing your posts. This will help to lay a foundation for your primary keyword and slowly building reputation, telling search engines about why your blog should be ranked well in highly searched keywords. The answer is simple, because you have developed keyword relevancy, which will bring highly targeted traffic which is easily convertible. People searching for long tail keywords are less in number but are more convertible. Their search is specific and ranking good for such keywords help monetize your blog.
Now, we will discuss our remaining elements:-
3. Title of the blog- What is your blog called? Is it by your company name or your own name? How long is it? Title is something that is noticed by both the search engine and your visitor. Having your Company name or your own name is good but it is not of interest to either of the two, if particularly they are not searching for it. You can include it if you want to but use it only at the end of the title, but firstly it should have your primary keyword. It is very necessary that your blog title conveys the reason for the existence of your blog, what is it all about. A short and crisp message can hypnotize visitors to read your posts.

4. Post Titles- While choosing your posts’ title it is essential to include your keywords in it. It should be attractive and curious enough to make your visitor read your post. Writing attractive and keyword relevant titles are harder to write but as they say hard work always pays. When a person searches for certain term search engines tend to look in the post titles and your post is displayed easily. Using long tail keywords as your post titles can be of certain help. Post titles are as important as good headlines.
What length should be your post’s title?
“It is like girl’s skirt, long enough to cover the subject and short enough to create interest”.
I think that answers it the best.
5. Keyword density- It means the ratio between your keyword and the total number of words in your post multiplied by 100. So now who will tell me what should be the keyword density of your page? Lets take it as a quiz. Common it’s a very simple question, answer me.
Till then
Happy Blogging to Fame!

Optimizing Blog by Developing Keyword Relevance
Monday, November 06, 2006
We have been discussing about blogging optimization in various subtle ways. Now, it is time to deal with it directly. It will take a few posts to go through the ins and outs of the search engine optimization as a whole blog can be set-up for the topic itself. But, here we will be talking about blog optimization specifically, and you will be provided with the updates as they come.
Search Engine Optimization for Blogs
Getting new visitors on a regular basis will help your business grow but retaining and channeling your regular visitors/readers through a funnel in order to help them is an important aspect. Randomly picking up topics would not create a flow in writing and will be of little use. We will be dealing on this soon and much more.
After doing much studies on Google search engine result pages (SERPs), we came to a conclusion, that sites and blogs can out perform high page rank sites by developing keyword relevancy. The first step for Search engine optimization, whether that be for websites or blogs is deciding your keywords, right keywords. This keeps your blog focused and relevant to the market you are dealing with. We would discuss the first two steps out of five steps here:-
Step 1:
Keyword Analysis:- You will need a bit of research to find the right keywords here. Lets call it keyword analysis. You may already have a blog or you may be starting a new one but this step is not to be missed. If you have done it already, then scan through, if not, read it carefully. For the main or the primary keyword you have selected, search it in Google. See for the page rank of the sites appearing in the 1st SERP. If it is 8 or above then search for the next keyword related to your own, like a synonym or a keyword phrase.
Suppose your keyword is ‘Internet marketing’, and at the time of writing this, the first result on SERP is clickz.com with a page rank of 7. It is one less than 8 and still it would be very difficult to attain the 1st position in the result page. So, we can say internet marketing is a difficult keyword, and it would not be right to aim for it. I, personally would prefer the keyword ‘Internet marketing blog’. The top result has a page rank of 4. Now that would be an easy keyword to achieve the first position. It does not mean that we will not have the keyword ‘internet marketing’ in account. It is just that we will do it in a later stage, when we have already established our blog and acquired a few readers. I would take it up in the upcoming posts.
When you have decided what our primary keyword would be, you should also look for secondary keywords, so that your blog would visible for other searches as well.
Step 2:-
Blog design:- After selecting our primary keyword, you need to keep in mind the design of the blog so that it is relevant to the keyword of your choice. The elements of the blog design would be-
1. Blog Header/Footer- For those who are using blogging platforms like Blogger, Wordpress, Typepad etc., you can easily personalize the header and the footer. You can personalize the banner by having a graphic with the dimensions of the banner. You can also edit the graphic so that it will also include the title of your blog. In this case, you can create your own graphic or you can purchase professional looking graphics online for less than $10.
2. Blog logo, templates, layouts, backgrounds, textures and skins from sites- A logo can do wonders to your blog. It not only creates a professional look but also gives your blog some weight. There are sites that offer free blog templates, layouts, backgrounds, textures and skins. You can make use of these so your blog will not look generic like most of the blogs hosted by the service provider.
3. Advertisements- Adsense and other advertisements can bring in a passive income from your blog and who wont want that. The ads should be relevant to your niche. If you are using adsense, Google will take care of it, if not, you should check for the keywords on which the ads are placed in your site. Place them in manner where they are easy to locate and do not forget to mention that they are ads or sponsored links.
4. Include RSS Feeds- This helps in converting visitors to readers. We will take this up in detail in the Syndication Post-The fifth S of Blogging.
The rest is on its way soon.
Till then Happy Blogging,
Divya Uttam.

Blog Optimization- For Everything you should be concerned about.
Saturday, November 04, 2006

Technorati has 55 million blogs and 75000 blogs are added daily approximately, yours may be one of them. How do you make it different so that people searching for your niche come directly to you? Various other search engines also index blogs. You need to be different and as you need to optimize your website, similarly you need to optimize your blog.
Why Optimization?
1) Increase rankings of the blog on BOTH regular search engines as well as blog/RSS search engines.
2) Increase traffic to the blog from multiple sources such as social search (Yahoo MyWeb, Google Personalized Search) and social bookmarking sites (del.icio.us, Digg, Furl or Blogmarks).
Your blog can easily appear in search engines like google and yahoo and as a matter of fact, they must. It is not at all difficult for you to make your blog attractive to search engines as they love new content. Keep in mind that your actual audience are people. Many marketers while optimizing their sites forget that, which proves to be very crucial mistake of their business life.
A blog is just a website that uses a content management system, so most standard SEO tactics apply. There are also optimization tactics specific to blogs. These tactics differ because your content is not static. So, while optimizing blogs one has to keep focus on how to use blog optimization while writing posts. As it is a very important topic of discussion we’ll be taking the elements of search engine optimization in details from the next post onward. These are:
- Blog Content
- Domain name
- URL / Address of the page
- Title Tag
- Description Metatag
- Headings and Bold
- Image tags
- Internal linking
- External inbound links
There are other elements also which are more specific to blogs which we will also be discussing in the due course.
Till then Happy Blogging to Fame,

Blogging model for quality Business Leads.
Wednesday, November 01, 2006
We have been taking about the growing emphasis of blogging and its role in online marketing. This blog and more of our ventures are in getting and improving is to get your blog more and more result oriented marketing with the power of blog.
In comparison to normal websites, which we found so difficult to even get indexed, blogs are a boom for Internet marketers and all those who have much to contribute. Blog have more ways to leave its footmarks(or I should say... Bookmarks) to let search engine to follow and index them but giving enough reasons to get their much loved frequent visits.
Here we will be discussing and discussing the in-depth analysis of many other blogs and how to make your blog more success to get fame. And key to help you as much possible in your business ventures using blogs.
Before even starting there are two things to be taken.
1- Marketing your blog.
2- Marketing through your blog.
Now I don’t know how I will be taking these issues but both are Important and to be taken care of. We will be dealing on both mentioned above and other important issues as they come by, as this is a blog and not a book.
Marketing is done best among the people who you know and influence. Marketing to the people who you link best, lowers your customer accusation cost. Big mistake most online marketers do is to take online marketing as just fun and do irrelevant stuff, or some putting lots of effort but in many direction and loose focus, hence never getting the disered significant results. Blogging in a same flow requires focus whether you are doing for yourself or for your company. You should be providing answers to problem or interests for which the visitors are at your blog after all their searching. You should be clear and have proper mindset for blogging.
Blogging as I always said is a double-edged sword, rather its getting multi edged sword. It takes time to get your blog start working as your marketing agent and get most from your marketing efforts. Here are keys to gain more highly targeted leads for your business.
As we all know Blogs are darling favorites of our Favorite Search Engine. Moreover if you bookmark and Tag (which eventually are your keywords) your blog at most social book marking websites. Now from all these places you are getting laser-targeted traffic. These visitors are from the sources they trust and so you get some credibility.
Now starts the other part of the whole marketing. You have the visitors from the most favored sites. We even can say a reliable visitor who can be a good lead or prospect for your business. This visitor has come all the way searching from search engine to your blog or from search engine to social book marking websites to your blog.
So we can say blog can be your company’s landing page in action or dialogue. Yes you can have most targeted traffic and most convertable prospects, but the thing to remember is a blog is not a sales page. You can discuss about the features of your product and how it has been helping people, though. But it would be worth mentioning again- NO DIRECT SELLING, PLEASE.
